MediHabit — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using MediHabit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Health Disclaimer

⚠️ MediHabit is for personal health tracking purposes only. It is NOT a medical device and should NOT be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making any medical decisions.

3. Use of the App

MediHabit is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to:

Use the app only for lawful purposes
Provide accurate information when logging health data
Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
Not use the app to harm yourself or others

4. Device Sensor Usage

MediHabit uses your device's built-in step counter sensor to track your daily physical activity. This requires the Activity Recognition permission on Android 10 and above. By granting this permission, you allow MediHabit to read step data from the device sensor to display your daily step count, estimated distance, and estimated calories burned within the app.

The step counter runs as a background service to ensure steps are counted even when the app is not open. A persistent notification will be shown while the service is active. You can revoke the Activity Recognition permission at any time through Settings → Apps → MediHabit → Permissions on your device. Revoking this permission will stop step counting but will not affect any other features of the app.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

The accuracy of health data you enter into the app
Any health decisions made based on information shown in the app
Keeping your device secure to protect your health data

6. Limitation of Liability

MediHabit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

Any health decisions made based on data shown in the app
Loss of data due to device failure or app uninstallation
Any indirect or consequential damages arising from app use

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within MediHabit are the intellectual property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without explicit written permission.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the app at any time without notice if these terms are violated.
